Product Overview

Portable stack racks, also known as stacking racks, are self-contained storage units designed to be placed securely one above another. They provide temporary or flexible vertical storage without installing a permanent fixed racking system, making them useful where layouts, inventory volumes, or storage locations change over time.

Each unit typically includes a base, upright posts, and optional beams or connectors. Loads are placed within or on the unit, and forklifts move the rack or load as required. The safe number of stacked levels depends on the rack design, load weight, load stability, warehouse height, forklift reach, floor condition, and applicable safety requirements.

Structure & Configuration

• A typical unit consists of a load-bearing base, vertical posts, and optional horizontal members.
• Stacking interfaces at the top and bottom help align units securely when placed one above another.
• Common installations use approximately two to four stacked levels, subject to engineering and site conditions.
• Typical unit capacities may range from around 500 to 2,000 kg or more, depending on dimensions, material, load distribution, and stack height.
• Units can be sized for standard pallets or for project-specific loads and non-standard footprints.

Planning & Safety Notes

• The load must be stable, centered, and suitable for stacking; loose or irregular small items may require containment.
• Higher stacks increase the demand on the bottom unit and require careful checks of capacity, alignment, and stability.
• The floor should be level and capable of supporting concentrated loads from the rack feet or base structure.
• Forklift reach, visibility, handling method, stack spacing, connections, and local safety rules must be included in the operating plan.
