Product Overview

Adjustable steel shelving is designed for hand-loaded goods, cartons, bins, components, tools, documents, samples, and other small or medium-sized items. It is commonly described as light-duty shelving, medium-duty shelving, or shelf racking, depending on the required capacity and construction.

Continuous shelf surfaces make the system especially useful for mixed products and irregular package sizes. Open access, adjustable levels, and modular components help operators locate, count, replenish, and pick goods efficiently in warehouses, workshops, retail backrooms, offices, and e-commerce fulfillment areas.

Structure & Configuration

• The standard structure uses perforated upright posts, shelf beams or supports, and steel shelf panels.
• Typical shelf capacity is approximately 100 to 500 kg per level; selected medium-duty designs may reach around 800 kg per level.
• Common installations are around 2 m high and are generally kept below 3 m for practical manual access.
• Aisles are planned for safe walking, bending, replenishment, and trolley access; 800 mm or more is common, subject to the site.
• Goods may be placed directly on the shelves or organized in cartons, totes, drawers, or component bins.

Planning & Safety Notes

• Capacity must be confirmed for each shelf and bay; loads should be evenly distributed unless the design states otherwise.
• The overall height should match the picking method and any permitted use of steps or access equipment.
• Shelf depth, clear opening height, aisle width, and container dimensions should be coordinated with the actual product mix.
• Tall, mobile, or heavily loaded units may require additional stabilization, anchoring, or other site-specific safety measures.
